Why do we use 13-gallon bags?

The size and color of the bags help our drivers to identify contaminates that are not recyclable and could possibly cause harm to themselves or sorters. If the bag is too large, it is hard for the driver to see contaminants. Additionally, lifting larger bags can cause physical hardship for our drivers. Based on feedback from customers and drivers, 13-gallon bags are the optimal size.
